A wide array of themes that suits everyone

Interchangeable themes within your HOME menu are a couple taps away for Nintendo 3DS owners, with the release of the latest firmware version of 9.0.0-20U.

Nintendo enthusiasts were pretty stoked when Big-N revealed the option to use first and third party-inspired themes back during the announcement of the New Nintendo 3DS (which can be read here). Those customized makeovers can alter the overall color scheme, the background for the top and bottom screens, and the icons and folders’ appearances. There are five pre-installed themes to choose from within this firmware, and if users are interested in additional themes, then they can purchase them on the eShop for $0.99 or $1.99.

Aside from adding a bit more personality to your 3DS, there are other miscellaneous changes that are found within this new update. For starters, users can now take a screenshot of their HOME menu. Moreover, the Nintendo eShop Title information page has been revamped, as well as further improving the system stability and minor tweaks to enhance the user’s experience.
